My Journal Entry 6/29/10 Tuesday


I haven't written an entry in a while now. I decided a few days ago that keeping up and writing a daily journal entry is going to be complicated the next couple weeks. I do plan on consciously paying attention to calories, as well as continue to walk when I can. I will also still weigh in on Wednesdays and post healthy deals and freebies as I get the chance. It is a hectic week coming up with Family coming in town and staying with me, plus my dad is having surgery, so I will need to be able to keep a time frame open to help out where I am needed with that. Once things settle down, I will continue with the Journal Entries. They have helped me a lot to keep on track. I hope I don't fall to far behind the next couple weeks by not keeping up with everything.

My Journal Entry 6/23/10 Wednesday


I got up early this morning to get my daughter ready to go to her dad's for the next couple days. But then I went back to bed! I am not a morning person. I didn't think that I would sleep as long as I did though! I didn't wake up til 2 in the afternoon! I guess I was tired?  Once I got up,  I weighed myself, (Checkout my Weekly Weigh-In Post) and then I made a bowl of cereal.

I also thought about what goals I want to make for this week! They are: Eat more regularly, get more fiber in each day, make myself get 30 minutes of activity in each and everyday, and wash my freaking car already!  That last one has been on my to do list for months! I don't know why I never get around to just doing it!

I went to Food Lion to pick up some green grapes. I love snacking on them and they are on sale for $0.99lb!
While I was out I picked up some lunch, I got Subway. I bought a footlong, but the other half of the sandwich will be dinner tonight after my walk!

When it got cooler, I went on my walk/jog at Fletchers park. It has been over a week since I have jogged, but I didn't get tired as quickly like I thought I would. I put in 35 minutes of a mix of jogging and walking and burned estimated 205 calories!

When I got back home, I had the other half of my subway sandwich.

Wednesday Weekly Weigh-In 6/23/10

Sigh, I knew I should have tried harder to get some more activity in for the week. I have had one of the laziest weeks this week! The types of foods that I was sometimes eating weren't the best either. I am happy that I didn't gain weight. I am really going to try harder this week! Last weeks weigh-in I was at 178.2
When I weighed this morning I was at 178.6.



Like I said, I am very happy I didn't gain and I am still in the 170's! It just shows that eating within calories is not enough! I cannot slack in the activities if I want the weight to shed!

Well, it is Monday and it feels like such a boring day! I made myself eat something not long after waking, I fixed a Lean Cuisine Meal.

My Journal Entry 6/20/10 Sunday



I'm having to play "Catch-up" with my journal entries. I haven't been posting them in a timely manner!
As for Sunday, it  consisted of a little housework, and a bunch of food! I know I went over my calories today! There is no way that I didn't, I just ate too much or too often. Lilly wanted some Mac and Cheese to start the day, So that is what I had too!  I ate less than the standard serving size.

Today was a pretty productive day. Got Lilly's room cleaned and got my car cleaned out. Now it just needs a bath!

I started the day without breakfast, wasn't hungry. But later grilled veggie skewers for lunch.

My Journal Entry 6/18/10 Friday




It's Friday! I'm almost 100% well again, however I woke up with no appetite. Really didn't start to get one til later in the day. I sipped on Sparkling Green Tea all morning and then it was time to pick my daughter up and head to my parents for late lunch.

We had Logan's and I usually get the Salmon and keep the sides light, but I have not been eating well at all the last 3 days and my calories are really too low to be healthy. So I chose the  6oz. Blue Cheese Sirloin, Veggie Skewer and loaded baked potato.  I didn't eat any rolls, and my drink was diet!
I started eating before I remembered the picture! I didn't eat all of my potato but I don't really know the calories of what I didn't eat so I will throw in the amount of a full one!

I saw a commercial about an Orange Chicken meal and that got me wanting something Asian for dinner. I looked through the freezer and I had a Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer meal that is a Sweet and Spicy Orange Chicken zest.  I thought that would be good, but it wasn't what I expected. I ate most of it though.

My Journal Entry 6/17/10 Thursday


I knew before I went to bed last night, that today would be dedicated to cleaning my whole house! That  is exactly what I did! Hubby went to work and I got started! But first I had a bowl of cereal.

The only thing left is Lilly's room and my car. Those are two very big things to tackle! I'm sure she won't mind helping mommy with her room when she gets back from her dad's tomorrow ;)

Friday Follow 6/18 Edition

It's Friday! It's been an up and down week for me! I was sick for almost 2 full days and didn't get to exercise or eat normally during that time. Heck I still don't have my normal appetite!But on a plus note I lost 4.4 pounds during my Wednesday Weekly Weigh-In!  

That really surprised me. I knew I would lose weight, I just didn't think it would be that kind of week! Not only did I lose 4.4 pounds but I also met my 9 week Mini goal three and a half weeks early! I am in the 170's now! Meeting a goal is such a wonderful feeling! Another off thing this week is my daughter has been with her dad this whole week visiting with Grandma and I miss her so much, but she will be back tomorrow! Things should get back to normal after this weekend, at least I hope.

My Journal 6/16/10 Wednesday


Today has been a better day for me. I am feeling a lot better. I'm not 100% yet because I have a sore throat and really no appetite at all. I have been drinking lots of water and other things, This is where most of my calories came in today. I didn't do any jogging or anything today, But I went to a couple of Grocery stores and was on my feet most of the day. Tomorrow I plan to catch up on housework before  my daughter comes home on Friday from her dads. This is going to be a "not so" calculated day when it comes to calories. I can give best estimate but I'm not sure with somethings yet. When I first woke up I didn't feel like eating. I drank some Diet Cranberry Juice. I don't  have a picture but I would say I had 16 oz. and it is supposed to have 30 calories per 8 oz. So 60 calories to start the day.  I drank water throughout the day until I reached Publix and purchased some Sobe Life Water. I drank one on the way home.

After I put the groceries away I looked through the Pantry and freezer trying to figure out something to eat.
